Brookside Gardens
Brookside Gardens is a stunning 50-acre award winning garden located within Wheaton Regional Park. The park has a number of theme gardens including the following: Aquatic Garden, Azalea Garden, Butterfly Garden, Children’s Garden, Rose Garden, Japanese Style Garden, Trial Garden, Rain Garden, and the Woodland Walk. This urban oasis is a popular location for photography, as well as wedding ceremonies. It’s a gorgeous blend of rustic natural surroundings with beautifully curated gardens that provides gorgeous backdrops.
Hours
The outdoor gardens are open daily 7:00 am - 5:00 pm (sunrise - sunset)
Photography Permits/Fees:
A photography permit is required when:
The primary purpose of your visit is to capture photos of your family/group
You or any member of your party is wearing formal attire/costume/wedding attire
A photographer (professional or hobbyist) is accompanying you to take photos of you or your group
A professional photographer is taking posed or portrait photos
Permits can be requested up to six weeks prior to the photo session. It’s recommended the permits are purchased at least 2 weeks prior to the photo session. Permits begin at $50 and depend on the size of the group and how far in advance the permit is requested. Visit permit page for more information.
