Maryland Family Photos - What To Expect During A Family Photography Session
As a Maryland Family Photographer, I work with moms to make sure they document their families and also actually get in the photos. There are so many reasons why moms just don’t get around to getting family photos. One of those reasons is not wanting to have overly posed photographs. So many moms have a memory from their childhood, of going to a photo studio being taken through a series of very stiff poses. But with lifestyle photography, it doesn’t have to be that way. A lifestyle family photography session is a chance to document your family just the way they are in a very natural way. So what can you expect from an outdoor family photography session with Little Snaps Photography? Read on to find out.
Everyone Together
In every session, we’ll make sure to document images with everyone together. Some of those images may have everyone looking at the camera, but that is never the sole purpose. We’ll document everyone just the way they are. For some families, its quiet moments with everyone together. For other families, its lots of energy, laughing, fun and games. The goal of the session will be to document your family’s unique personality so that you can have images that not only look like you, but more importantly FEEL like you. Overall, it will be a fun experience where we spend an afternoon together, having fun, and I just happen to have brought my camera along.
Moments with Mom
As a mom, documenting moments with mom is one of the main goals of every session. Moms are usually so busy taking photos of their family, they’re usually not in the photos. That’s why we make sure to get lots of pictures of mom and her babies, not matter how old those “babies” are.
Moments with Dad
Just because mom gets special attention, doesn’t mean we’re going to forget all about dad. We always make sure to document moments with dad. Whether its dad tossing the kids up in the air, or whether it’s a quiet moment between dad and the kids, every session will have lots of images that shows off dad’s personality and his connection with the kids.
Just the Kids
During the session, we make sure to have some time with just the kids. During these times, there may be lots of giggles and laughter, telling each other secrets, hugs, kisses, fun and games. This is a chance where you just let the kids be themselves and we document the kids being kids. It usually also includes me chasing them down to make sure I don’t miss a moment!
Where it all Began - A Couple in Love
Where did the love in your family begin? It started with just the two of you, before you were parents, you were just two people in love. During every session, I always try to steal a quiet moment to celebrate where it all began with just the parents.
