Maryland Summer Family Photos
Late summer, with its golden sunlight and warm breezes, is the perfect time for documenting family memories. During this Maryland family lifestyle photography session, I had the pleasure of working with this beautiful family of four. The golden light and the green pastures made the perfect backdrop for their session. It was an afternoon filled with fun, joy and laughter.
We made sure to document a variety of family photos. I always make sure to get a photos of each parent with each individual child. It’s great to have those special one on one moments. I also always make it a point to get pictures of mom in front of the camera. Moms are usually the family photographer so I always make sure to get some extra time with mom and her babies. But we don’t forget dad, so we get plenty of photos of dad and his babies as well.
We also make sure to document moments with the entire family, since that is the main event of the entire session. Since this is a lifestyle session, we’re able to capture candid family moments throughout the session.
Last but not least, I always try to get mom and dad alone. Most parents don’t have recent pictures of just the two of them; so during every family session, I always make sure to steal a few minutes for just the parents.
One of my favorite moments is to get some photos of each individual child. I know families get school photos, but those don’t always capture what your child is really like. As the sun dipped behind the horizon, we documented baby boy and his sister and captured incredible smiles. As parents, these are the moments we love to freeze in time.
All in all, it was a great afternoon of family fun and I am so happy to be a tiny part of their family journey.
