Maryland Sunset Lifestyle Family Photo Session

As a Maryland family photographer, I’m always thrilled when I work with my families over time. I first met this family for a lifestyle newborn photography session, when baby girl was only a few weeks old. Fast forward to a year later and it was time to have a sunset lifestyle family session. Baby girl is now a bubbly 14 month old that is ready to take on the world. Her sisters are just as sweet as I remember. They have just as much energy as when I first met them, maybe even more! And the entire family is just as gorgeous as ever. We had such a fun session, filled with laughter, giggles, cartwheels and lots of running!

During a family session, I always keep the family photographer in mind. Moms are usually the designated family photographers and have so many great pictures of her family. If you ask her to show you a picture with her in it, more often than not, it’s hard for her to find one. This is why I always make sure that I get great images of mom throughout the session. That being said, I also make sure I document images of dad and the kids. This is usually when the youngest child gets tossed into the air! Next up, I make sure I document the kids being who they are. And if there is a younger baby that has reached certain milestones, like crawling or learning to walk, that will get documented as well.

The goal for all my sessions is to document a page in a family’s life story. We’ll capture all the small details that will bring you back to a moment that feels like a lifetime ago. The images will show the love and emotion that you feel in your family in a natural and authentic way. This is what draws me to lifestyle photography, capturing real moments in a family’s life.
